Over four days, participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice the entire field of ocular traumatology step by step at individual workstations. Special emphasis is placed on the intensive wetlab exercises as well as the individual supervision of participants.

The goal of the course is for both beginner and advanced surgeons to be able, by the end of the course, to independently perform the primary treatment of severe ocular and eyelid injuries and to reconstruct secondary complications under supervision.

Conducting a training course in ophthalmic trauma surgery at this level is only possible through the support of partner companies and organizations. These enable participants to receive expert on-site guidance regarding the devices and materials used in the wetlab – and then apply them practically on pig eyes.
